It's a song, that as well as being one of Westlife's biggest hits, means a lot to a lot of people and there were absolutely amazing scenes on Friday night when the band performed You Raise Me Up in Newcastle.
Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian were back in the city for the first of two consecutive shows at the Utilita Arena and they got a rapturous reception from the packed Geordie crowd.
The incredible reaction to their arrival on stage set the tone for the evening. Their two hour set kicked off with recent single Hello My Love before the clock was turned back in style as the likes of My Love, Uptown Girl, Mandy and If I Let You Go fill the air.
There was even time for a high octane Queen medley but without a doubt the song that got one of, if not the biggest response of the night was You Raise Me Up.
Westlife's number 1 from 2005 is always guaranteed to pull on the heartstrings and as mobile phone torch lights were held up high, the arena was bathed in light for an absolutely breathtaking moment and, as you can see from the video above, a real picture perfect memory too.
The concert, which went by all too quickly, ended with a encore of Flying Without Wings and World of our Own and also included a rather funny moment when Westlife rang a fan's boyfriend but it didn't go entirely to plan!
