Amazing new Katie Taylor mural appears outside Phibsborough pub

A stunning new mural in tribute to boxing champion Katie Talyor has been unveiled outside a north Dublin pub.

The 32-year-old Wicklow woman became the undisputed lightweight champion of the world after her closely fought win over the Belgian Delfine Persoon last weekend.

The beautiful tribute to the Bray fighter appeared outside The Back Page in Phibsborough over the weeked.

It was painted by artist Emmalene Blake who shared a picture of the finished work on Instagram with the simple caption: "Undisputed!"

Blake also recently created a poignant mural in Belfast in tribute to murdered journalist Lyra McKee.

The image of Ms McKee was painted alongside the words of a powerful letter she wrote to her 14-year-old self.

Taylor enjoyed a rapturous homecoming in her native Bray last week following her landmark victory.

Thousands of fans turned out to watch the fighter parade her five belts on the stage.

She told her Bray fans: "I'm so, so grateful for the support I get in this town, the support and backing I get is amazing so I'm delighted to come back here as the undisputed champion."
