Amazing images have emerged of a black bear leaning against a balcony and enjoying the view at an idyllic holiday resort.
The bear was snapped by a member of staff at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
Sam Geesaman took the photo at 5am on June 29, having initially gone outside to capture the morning sunrise.
Instead, he came across the bear after it had climbed the stairs in search of a rubbish bin.
The bear moved on after Mr Gessaman loudly clapped and stomped.
New Hampshire routinely has reports of bears finding their way into homes, campgrounds and apartment complexes.
Last year, food shortages were blamed for a sharp increase in human conflicts with bears, and the highest numbers of bear killings since 2014.
