Many of us pass these buildings or walk down these streets all the time, but just how much have they altered over the years?
Like every city, Bristol has undergone some incredible transformations over the years.
While many will struggle to imagine the city before Clifton Suspension Bridge was built, some other transformations may feel more familiar. Bristol Old Vic's incredible new look, for example, is one we're still getting used to, while it appears the view up Park Street of Will's Memorial is one which has barely changed.
From Castle Park to St Augustine's Parade, we've been digging through the archives to see some incredible old pictures of Bristol then.
In the video above we've compared them with pictures of it now - with some transformations more dramatic than others.
