Amazing discovery centre where kids can climb inside giant bubbles opens at Trinity Leeds

A new discovery centre has opened at Trinity Leeds that allows kids to discover maths through interactive exhibits.

MathsCity offers a day out for families where kids can get hands on with maths through activities and puzzles, including using a fire laser ring to discover shapes.

Launched by charity MathsWorldUK on October 4, MathsCity aims to be the first Maths Discovery Centre in the country.

Whether or not your kids enjoy maths, over 30 interactive exhibitions will offer them the chance to clamber inside giant kaleidoscopes and bubbles.

There's also bridge building, mirror exhibitions, and a huge Newton's cradle.

There are also lots of different interactive puzzles, and the centre aims to engage children and adults in real world maths.

The hands-on exhibits are meant to help children understand the 'patterns and structures' of the world.

MathsCity is located in Leeds Trinity shopping centre on the top floor, opposite Trinity Kitchen.

Tickets must be booked in advance it costs £18 for a family ticket, or £4.50 per child, £6.50 per adult. Tickets can be purchased here.

The discovery centre is open Tuesday through to Saturday from 10am until 5pm.

MathsWorldUK CEO, Dr Katie Chicot, said: “We are incredibly grateful to our partners LeedsBID, Trinity Leeds and CIVA, as well as the University of Leeds and our many other amazing supporters who have helped us reach this milestone achievement of opening MathsCity in Leeds.”
