'Amateurish' - Forest fans fume after Reds fall to third straight defeat

Nottingham Forest fans have reacted with anger to their side's 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

Daniel Ayala gave the visitors the lead a minute into the second half as Forest failed to clear their lines.

The Reds lacked any kind of attacking intuition and Chris Hughton gave in to calls from the terraces as he introduced Joao Carvalho for Alex Mighten on 63 minutes.

Philip Zinckernagel's long-range strike levelled the scores on six minutes later, but poor defending from another set-piece allowed Darragh Lenihan to score the winner four minutes from the end of the game.

Things went from bad to worse when Jordan Gabriel was sent for an early shower after receiving two yellow cards and Forest fans have turned their anger towards Hughton following three straight defeats in the Championship.

Here is what some Reds fans had to say:

@JakeTaylor 1703: Looks like another long season ahead being a Forest fan…

@BeckyGamesterN: I know we're only 3 games in but this is depressingly predictable. Was clear major changes were needed over the summer; it hasn't materialised and this is what happens. At least expectations were low to begin with this season

@NickGuise1: Haven't seen anything from Hughton to suggest things will improve this season, nothing has changed. I think we got Hughton 5 years too late. Tactics and substitutions are just baffling. Hughton Out tonight!

@ReissNFFC: Said it was a must-win tonight. That defeat is the straw that breaks the camel’s back all round for me. Fans have turned in what was a toxic atmosphere, no coming back from this for Hughton for me. Was willing to be more patient but absolutely turgid all round

@IjNffc: I was on the fence, now I’m not. Get him gone. Awful football not getting results and I’m sorry if I was Lyle Taylor I would be Livid done nothing to be dropped and doesn’t even get on the pitch this game.

@Jonno3112: Every single game this season has hinged on the second half. This manager either settling for a result or not having the bollocks or ideas to win a game. He's the problem. He has to go. Tonight

@adie_hull: Convinced that we're cursed. Nothing changes, nothing works.

@gday0709_day: Not sure where to start with that, at best I could say amateurish, Hughton has no clue, I hate switching managers but that was awful and even worse, predictable
