Amara Darboh set to return to action for Seahawks this week

The Seahawks’ wide receiver group has been battling all summer for the few coveted spots on the regular-season roster. This week in Los Angeles, Seattle will see another name added to the mix.

Amara Darboh, who has yet to play in a game this preseason, is set to make his return.

“He’s ready to come back this week,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters Wednesday. “This should be really good, this should be his week to return. He practiced all last week and we thought he did a nice job, but we just felt that he needed another week to go ahead and get it done. He’s in good shape.

“He needs his playtime because he hasn’t had a chance to show yet.”

Darboh sat out all of 2018 on the team’s injured reserve after having surgery shortly before the start of last season. With so many receivers making a push this year, Darboh needs to really impress in the Seahawks’ final two preseason games for a chance at making it through the 53-man cuts.
