Amanda Owen's Christmas disaster as she's left without water or electricity on the farm

Amanda Owen had a Christmas disaster when Ravenseat farm was left without water or electricity.

The Our Yorkshire Farm star, 48, told fans it just "wouldn't be Christmas" without the mishap as her son Reuben, 18, jumped in his digger to help out.

Taking to Twitter sharing pics of the teen in a tractor, she said: "It just wouldn't be Christmas without there being either no water or no electricity.

"Cue everyone to stare despondently into a hole in the ground. Apart from Reuben who is in his element."

Amanda posted pics of her son helping to dig up a huge mound of dirt to try and gain access to the water and electricity cables underground.

The whole family were out on the farm in the mud and lashing rain as they desperately tried to restore the power and water.

Another said: "Oh heck. Hope it's fixed soon, and you are able to enjoy Christmas. Best wishes to you all."

The happy news comes as Amanda prepared to spend her first Christmas following the announcement of her split from her husband Clive.

The couple revealed the news in June this year, following weeks of speculation over their relationship.

The joint statement read: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

Amanda and Clive thanked everyone for their support and asked for privacy during this "difficult time".
