Amanda Holden stuns in daring green dress at awards do alongside Holly Willoughby

Amanda Holden dazzled in a green ballgown as she led the way on the red carpet at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards.

The Britain's Got Talent presenter, 51, put on a leggy display with a daring split in her skirt, and upped the style stakes with a corset-style top.

Amanda, who was hosting the glitzy do last night, was joined by stars such as Holly Willoughby, Princess Beatrice and Naomi Campbell, who was the recipient of the outstanding contribution to fashion award.

The awards, at Hilton Park Lane, recognised those who have made outstanding achievements in theatre, music, television, fashion and philanthropy.

This Morning presenter Holly looked chic in a black one-shoulder floor length dress, and wore her blonde hair down, as she smiled for the cameras.

Supermodel Naomi caught the eye in an all-silver ensemble, wearing flared trousers and a matching jacket.

On the red carpet she posed with her award, which she received for her role in bringing positive change and inclusion on the catwalk and beyond.

Naomi said it was an "incredible honour" to receive the accolade.

She told PA News agency: “To be here with everyone else receiving the awards is fabulous too, and that everyone can shine a light on the Variety Club so they can continue doing great work.”

She continued: “When I started my career in the 70s and 80s this was such a coveted invitation to have.

“I worked for many different people including Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd-Webber, various people that were recipients of the awards … now to actually receive an award."

Princess Beatrice, wearing a green ankle length dress with golden buttons, presented the inaugural Variety Club Duke of Edinburgh gold heart award for national excellence, to classical singer Katherine Jenkins.

The pair posed together for the cameras afterwards, with Katherine bringing the glamour by wearing a one-shoulder silver shimmering gown.

Elsewhere at the ceremony, Take That star Gary Barlow was presented with the award for outstanding achievement in theatre and music, while Beverley Knight was recognised for her outstanding achievement in musical theatre.

Other celebrity guests at the event, which took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane, included music mogul Simon Cowell, Kimberley Walsh, Holly Willoughby, Debbie McGee and Al Murray.

The 2022 Variety Showbusiness awards marks the event’s 70th anniversary, and returned for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic, in support of Variety, the Children’s Charity.
