Amanda Holden screams in terror after "scariest act" in Britain's Got Talent history

Amanda Holden was left screaming in terror - after the scariest act in Britain's Got Talent performed during the series opener.

Amanda was left horrified after a magician transformed into a woman who died over 100 years ago.

The judges were nervous before the act even began - as the lights started to flicker - reports Mirror Online.

Mysterious performer Elizabeth walks up to the judges table, hands Amanda a dusty, old journal, then leads her to the side of the stage.

Amanda shouts: "I'm scared, I'm scared,"as she is taken down some stairs and into a dark room.

Elizabeth explains that the people pictured lived and died over 100 years ago and asks Amanda to count them face down one at a time onto the table.

Amanda has to stop when she feels a connection to one of the photos and place it face down into a cigar box.

The photograph has the words "Agatha Turner 1860" written on the front, and remarkably she is described in a bookmarked page in the journal.

Freaked out Amanda then looks over her left shoulder and sees the name written on the wall.

As she turns back round Elizabeth has transformed into the ghost of Agatha Turner.

Horrified Amanda screams in shock as the ghost grabs her arm.

The rest of the judges and the audience, who are watching via a video link, also start screaming in terror.

Amanda starts swearing as she cries: "Oh my god I want to go home."

Just as it seems like the worst is over as Amanda leaves the dark room, the ghost then turns back into the magician.

Screaming Amanda puts her head in her hands and admits she thought she was going to start crying.
