Amanda Holden scoops TV job days after claims Phillip Schofield 'blocked' her from This Morning

Amanda Holden has scooped a pretty cushty TV job days after claims were made that she is 'difficult to manage' amid a public spat with Phillip Schofield.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 48, became locked in a feud after it was claimed that Phil ‘blocked’ her from getting a hosting spot on This Morning while Holly Willoughby was in Australia for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

According to reports, Amanda complained to TV bosses after Phil labelled her “difficult to manage” leading her to miss out on the role, which instead went to Rochelle Humes.

But all this drama certainly doesn’t seem to have affected Amanda’s career - she has been announced as one of the new hosts on Sky One sports panel quiz show, A League Of Their Own.

James Corden can only film two episodes of the 14th season of the comedy quiz due to his American TV commitments.

Others stepping into his shoes are sports presenter Clare Balding and former A League Of Their Own panelist Jack Whitehall, Amanda’s BGT colleague David Walliams, and British sprinter Dina Asher Smith.

Amanda’s Heart FM co-host Jamie Redknapp and ex-cricketer Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff will return as team captains.

Zai Bennett, director of programming at Sky, said: "We're delighted that James is hosting two of the shows this series but appreciate he has other work commitments this year.

"Therefore, we've got a brilliant lineup of guests to keep his seat warm and we have no doubt that our new guest hosts will ensure that the laughs continue."

Guests taking part in the forthcoming series include I'm A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp, boxer Tony Bellew and gymnast Max Whitlock.

Former professional footballers David Ginola, Robin van Persie and Jermaine Jenas will also star, as well as England cricketer Jimmy Anderson, Olympic gold medal-winning hockey player Sam Quek and TV presenter Helen Skelton.

A League Of Their Own will air on Sky One and streaming service NOW TV later this year.
