Amanda Holden says she's wearing a polo neck on BGT after outfit backlash

Amanda Holden said she's going to wear a polo neck on tomorrow's instalment of Britain's Got Talent following backlash over outfit last week.

The popular talent show judge appeared on This Morning to discuss the release of her album Songs From my Heart, but it wasn't long before her controversial outfit was brought up.

Regulator Ofcom received hundreds of complaints from BGT viewers about Amanda's outfit last weekend.

The head judge wore a low cut midnight blue dress on last Saturday night's show, which also had a long split revealing her leg.

As presenters Ant and Dec introduced the judges on the show, many viewers took to social media to predict Ofcom would receive complaints about the dress, with the organisation recently confirming they had received a flurry of complaints.

An Ofcom Spokesperson said: "We had 277 complaints about Britain's Got Talent on Saturday night.

"235 of these complaints related to Amanda's dress.

"It wasn't possible to decipher what the other complaints were in relation to."

On today's This Morning, presenter Eamonn Holmes said: "What are we going to see tomorrow night, what's going to be on show?"

Amanda quipped: "Oh, I'm wearing a polo neck with sleeves down to here (her wrists) and up to there (her neck)."

She added: "And I'm singing Not When I'm Around from Sweeney Todd, which is one of my all time favourite songs."

Amanda has been open about her music and the fact several songs hold a special meaning for her.

Last month, the 49-year-old said she wanted to "let fans in" with her single, With You. The song has a special meaning for her and her husband, Chris, as it reminds them of the son they lost nine years ago.

Amanda gave birth to her second child two months prematurely after being told there was no heartbeat.

Son Theo Hughes was stillborn on February 1, 2011.

Amanda opened up about the tragedy in the BBC's Dear NHS Superstars special, where she said she "heard this guttural screaming" after learning her baby had no heartbeat.

She said: "It was the most bizarre thing that's ever happened to me because it was me.

"I didn't know I was doing it - I had no control over myself, I thought it was another person making the noise."

Amanda's album Songs From my Heart is out now.

*This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10am
