Amanda Holden's unapologetic Britain's Got Talent dresses after Ofcom complaints

Ofcom received hundreds of complaints about the dress Amanda Holden wore for Britain's Got Talent on Saturday night - but it's not the first time the 49-year-old's outfit has caused controversy.

The regulator received over 230 complaints about Amanda's low cut midnight blue dress, which also had a daring leg split.

On Friday Amanda joked on This Morning that she'd be covering up for Saturday night's show, following the complaints.

Presenter Eamonn Holmes said: "What are we going to see tomorrow night, what's going to be on show?"

Amanda quipped: "Oh, I'm wearing a polo neck with sleeves down to here (her wrists) and up to there (her neck)."

We and our sister title Mirror Online decided to take a look at some of Amanda's other daring dresses, ahead of Saturday night's BGT semi final.

Julian MacDonald dress

In 2017 she blew us all away with a Julian Macdonald creation that featured a wide plunging neckline that fell down to her navel.

A whopping 663 complaints were made to Ofcom about the dress, which she wore for one of the final shows of the series that year.

The tight-fitting gown was made of a dark brown/black mesh-like material, decorated with glittering detail.

She looked beautiful, but clearly the dress wasn't to everyone's tastes.

Amanda simply laughed it off though.

Another plunging neckline

In the same year of the competition Amanda chose another dress with a plunging neckline.

There were also lots of cut-out details on the dress and a cheeky leg split too.

It's a brave outfit, but Amanda pulls it off.

That confident pose with one hand on her hip says it all.

Grecian Goddess

This Grecian-style gown from 2016 features a dramatic split at the front that revealed Amanda's legs.

It too featured a plunging neckline.

She looked gorgeous in the glittering creation.

Spider web vibes

For the first live semi-final in 2019 Amanda wore a stunning leggy dress with mesh-detailing on the top that made it almost see-through.

Strips of red and silver glitter are splashed all over the dress, which was cut at an asymmetric angle to reveal her enviable pins.

Florals with a twist

Amanda's dress for the third semi-final of 2019 was just as eye-popping.

The gown was half sheer and half white, with flowers and a spider-web embroidered on.

It was finished off with a scarf-come-cape that draped around her neck and down to the floor.

Barely there white dress

In 2016 Amanda wore a racy white dress for one of the live semi-finals.

While the dress covered her chest it left little to the imagination as she turned to the side.

The white gown had two straps to cover her knicker line and bra strap, but otherwise was completely cut out, showing off her legs and enviable frame.
