Amanda Holden's Britain's Got Talent transformation undressed: Star swaps jeans for dresses

Amanda Holden has courted controversy with her racy dresses on Britain's Got Talent.

But the BGT star, 48, has been on quite the fashion journey as she has left her jeans in the back of the wardrobe and brought out the complaint-sparking dresses over the years.

During Thursday's This Morning segment, the talent competition judge branded her old image a "mess" when she was shown pictures of herself from BGT's first series in 2007.

Amanda had no qualms pointed out she had "over-plucked" her eyebrows and she was wearing a "top on back to front" in the early days of the show.

She said: "I was wearing a top on back to front, jeans, I'd over-plucked my eyebrows, I looked a mess."

The TV presenter oozed confidence as she bragged about her "good" fashion sense now 12 years on.

She elaborated: "See my fashion journey, I come out the end, it's good this end."

Amanda admitted she doesn't feel pressure to dress her age and she revealed she loves to take risks with her wardrobe (Ken McKay/ITV)

In June two years ago, Amanda was slapped with 216 complaints about her eye-popping dress on Britain's Got Talent which had a very revealing neckline.

More recently, the blonde bombshell sparked 22 complaints after she dared to wear a spider web-inspired dress that exposed her cleavage.

But Amanda admitted she doesn't feel pressure to dress her age and she revealed she loves to take risks with her wardrobe.

She told The MailOnline : "I dress to feel confident. I try not to think about age anymore when I'm dressing.

"My children don't bat an eyelid at what I wear and love borrowing my clothes. Of course, I have fun on Britain's Got Talent, it's the perfect opportunity to take risks.

"Times have changed and I don't feel anyone should feel pressure to dress your age. It's all about body positivity and feeling good."
