Amanda Holden, 50, reveals funny nickname she's earned for her 'age-defying' looks

Amanda Holden was given a hilarious nickname after friends and family noticed the star seemed to be ageing in reverse.

The Britain's Got Talent judge is turning 51 years old in February but looks as young as ever.

She didn't feel any pressure turning 50 as the biggest milestone for her was when she turned 30. Now she just feels 'fabulous'.

Speaking to Sunday Mirror's Notebook Magazine, Amanda revealed the amazing nickname given to her.

"I have been called Mandy Button in the past, which is such a flattering thing! It’s brilliant," she proudly said of the reference to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

"I do look after myself, I run, I do yoga, I’m a vegetarian. But I do love a drink. I don’t deny myself anything. After lockdown and us all being denied our freedoms, I just think “don’t deny yourself now, just enjoy life.”

"Everything in moderation, but if you want a glass of wine or a doughnut, have one. Life is too short. I’m not one of those “all or nothing” people, I can’t live like that."

There you have it, folks. The secret to eternal youth.

The star hasn't ruled out the possibility of cosmetic surgery but believes she is lucky due to her genetics.

Amanda loves showcasing her incredible figure in endless gorgeous outfits but recently insisted she will 'let herself go' by the time she's 70.

She admitted that she is inspired by stars such as Kylie, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez - who she says there is "no one hotter" than.

While she says she "doesn't believe" in sugar-free diets, she does admit that she will start eating and drinking what she wants without a care in the world when she allows herself "to go to seed at 70".

She told The Daily Mail that while that may be the case, she has no plans to lose her sexuality as she gets older.

The star, who has faced Ofcom complaints due to her racy outfits on TV at times, continued: "Look at Jane Fonda in her 80s. If you're like her and have been iconic for your looks as well as your brilliant acting, then you don't want to let that go. Why should you?

"Why would you want to lose your sexuality and how you're perceived physically. Of course, we all care about the inside, but it's not wrong to keep up appearances."
