Amanda Holden has promised that the upcoming season of Britain's Got Talent will include more "homespun" performances and fewer professional acts.
The BGT judge, 49, will return to our screens this weekend for the latest talent show season alongside judges Simon Cowell, 60, Alesha Dixon, 41, and David Walliams, 48.
Ahead of the much-anticipated return, Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Arnold, 50, explained that he had spoken to Amanda about what to expect.
According to Amanda, viewers can expect more amateur and grassroots talent as they scour the country for the next big act.
"This year is seems a lot more 'homespun' if you like - certainly not humdrum - but she calls them 'bedroom rehearsals'," Richard explained on GMB.
"If anyone knows anything about rehearsing in a bedroom its Amanda, and by that I mean clearly with a hairbrush as a microphone," the presenter joked.
By 'homespun' the judge might be implying that instead of professional groups such as gymnastics troupe Spelbound or shadow artists Attraction, this year there could more unpolished and unusual acts.
It comes after Amanda told the Daily Mail's Weekend Magazine that the upcoming BGT season might be the remedy that the country needs during the coronavirus outbreak.
"Hopefully BGT will be a bit of medicine for the whole country," she told the publication.
"I mean that. We need to just connect, to hear other people's stories, laugh, cry, all those human things that BGT has always been about."
The show returns at 8pm on April 11 on ITV and will be hosted by Geordie comedy duo Ant & Dec.
Based on the trailer, there will be acts involving sausage dogs, contortionists, unicyclists and even more death-defying performers competing for the show's top spot.
The auditions were recorded prior to the coronavirus lockdown in January and February and will air on Saturdays.
The spin off series Britain's Got More Talent will not be returning to television screens for this season.
Instead, viewers eager to watch more auditions will be able to catch up with Britain's Got Talent: Unseen, a new web-exclusive show brimming with more auditions and unseen bits.
The BGT live finale has also been postponed to a later date due to the pandemic.
