Amanda Holden lands fly-on-series documentary series all about her 'unique' family

Amanda Holden set to star in new TV show about her relationship with her beloved grandmother

The show will follow the Britain’s Got Talent judge as she moves back in with her elderly relative

Amanda Holden has landed her own TV show which will follow her “unique relationship” with her beloved grandmother.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 50, announced that the eight-part series, titled No Holden Back, will debut on E4.

Cameras will follow Amanda as she moves back in with her elderly relative, Nan Myrtle, and will also focus on her relationships with other members of her family.

“I'm delighted that everyone is finally going to meet my nan, the apple never falls far from my tree and in this series she will certainly be keeping me on my toes,” the mother-of-two told The Sun.

Amanda has reportedly spent weeks filming the new series.

Her nan issued a statement after the exciting news was announced, and cheekily revealed she had a crush on Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard.

“I have no comment, apart from I’m really hoping being on TV might mean I can finally meet my favourite young man, Ben Shephard,” the pensioner quipped.

Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Steven Handley said they were delighted to have landed the actress/singer.

“Amanda is one of the UK’s most well-known stars and we are thrilled to get insight into her life with her nan,” he said.

The Heart Breakfast radio show co-host currently stars alongside Alison Hammond, Jimmy Carr and Paddy McGuinness in BBC1’s I Can See Your Voice, and according to the MailOnline, the popular show has been recommissioned for a second series due its runaway success.

It was also recently reported that Amanda was in line to be the next Cilla Black, after a source revealed BBC bosses had tapped her to front a new dating show following weeks of secret talks.

She appeared as a contestant on ITV’s much-loved series Blind Date back in 1991, and 30 years later, it looks like Amanda could be helping other couples find romance.

“Everyone working on the show thinks she has the potential to be just like Cilla was years ago on Blind Date. There’s a lot of excitement about this,” they told The Sun. @lucyneedham1
