Amanda Holden in tears as mother who beat cancer performs with daughter on Britain's Got Talent

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was in tears after a mother and daughter performed together.

Honey and Sammy also had hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly choked up as they watched their emotional performance from backstage.

Proud daughter Honey explained that she had applied for the ITV talent show without telling Sammy, and it paid off because not only did they receive a standing ovation, Amanda awarded them her golden buzzer to send them straight through to the live shows.

Earlier on in the show Honey, 14, revealed she had wanted to audition for the programme for the last couple of years but it had been 'tough' due to Sammy's cancer battle.

She shared: "Over the past couple of years, my mum got diagnosed with cancer.

"And to be here with my mum is the best thing that’s ever happened to me."

Show boss and judge Simon then asked Sammy, 43, how she's feeling and she responded: "Yeah absolutely fine, it’s all fine."

The pair wowed with a rendition of Lost Without You by Freya Ridings.

They performed a different song at first but were asked by Simon to have a rethink and come back.

"After everything you have been through, you deserve that moment," he said.

"I am going to remember this audition for a long long time."

"You remind me so much of my little girl as well," said Amanda after pressing her buzzer.
