Amanda Holden husband 'quits' as director of agency that repped her and Phil Schofield

Amanda Holden's husband Chris Hughes has quit as the director at talent agency which represents her and Simon Cowell - and sensationally dropped former Phillip Schofield last month, it has been claimed.

YMU sacked the former This Morning presenter from their books last month in the wake of his affair confession.

Chris, whose wife had a falling out with the shamed star, has resigned from holding company, reports suggest.

The agency - which still represents Amanda and her Britain's Got Talent boss Cowell - is also said to have called in trusted advisers to explore financial restructuring.

According to its latest accounts, the firm made a loss of £4.8million and still has net liabilities of £74.7million.

The 69-year-old is one of ten directors who have quit the company in the last three years, according to the publication.

According to MailOnline, he quit in on April 18 - just weeks before shamed Phillip was cast aside.

Mirror Online have approached YMU for comment.

The Heart FM presenter has made her thoughts known about Phillip following their famous 'falling out.'

When Phillip was asked how he found working with her, he told Heat magazine: "She kept me on my toes.

"She has a faulty edit button and she forgets she's on the telly, which is enormously endearing and funny, but occasionally quite scary."

Three years later is when it all seemingly went downhill.

Holly Willoughby was flown off to the Australian jungle to present I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! leaving her space on prime daytime TV available.

Reports suggested Amanda thought she was set to replace Holly, but the offer was reportedly withdrawn last minute.

According to The Sun, Amanda lost out on the chance because of Phil.

Sources claimed she was the frontrunner, but was blocked by the TV stalwart, who apparently favoured Rochelle Humes because she was 'easier to manage'.

MailOnline have also claimed the company have now appointed the consultants AlixPartners to perform an independent business review.

Company boss Mary Bekhait reportedly sent an email to staff earlier this month citing "economic conditions" as the reason.

"Like all businesses that rely on live entertainment, music and sport, we were impacted by the pandemic and obviously economic conditions are tough at the moment," it reportedly read.

It went on to say that the business has recently signed some major new talent, fan-favourite model Emily Ratajkowski and IT girl and pal of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton.
