Amanda Holden reveals she attended parents’ evening in a swimsuit and with a rosé in hand

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has said she did her daughter’s Zoom parents’ evening in her swimming costume with a glass of wine due to a spell of hot weather.

The 54-year-old said her child’s teachers said she was “jammy” as they were stuck at school, in an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

Holden explained: “Well, instead of a bikini, I did cover up and wear a swimming costume, can I say.

“But it was so hot, and I balanced the iPad here (at her neckline), so they had just this view.

“But every teacher was like, ‘oh, you’re so jammy’, because they were all stuck in a stock cupboard somewhere.

“What I didn’t say is that I had a sneaky little rose under my deck chair as well to get through it.”

Holden shares two daughters; Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, with husband Chris Hughes.

Last month, the presenter posted a rare holiday photo with both girls during a family getaway to Dubai, writing: “I never want to sound dramatic. You know me if you follow me — but time passes so fast. My babies! All grown up.”

The post was met with praise from fans and celebrity friends alike. Alan Carr commented, “Just gorgeous,” while Emily Atack added: “So gorgeous xxx,” and Dame Kelly Holmes wrote: “Whooooh all beauts.”

Elsewhere, the star revealed she has big plans for her and Alan Carr’s hit BBC travel renovation show.

So far they have put their stamp on Italy and Spain and are heading to Greece later this month, but there is one location the TV judge says they would both “kill” to take the cameras to.

Speaking to The Standard, Holden said: “I would imagine maybe France or Turkey, the scheme even works in Japan - we would both kill to go to Japan but I keep saying to him maybe we just pitch a travel show next and be done with it.

“We’ll be the next Judith Chalmers or maybe we’ll join Gary Barlow on a travelogue, just the two of us, we’ll bring back Wish You Were Here.”

Britain’s Got Talent will return on ITV and ITVX on Sunday at 7pm, rather than its usual Saturday spot, due to the FA Cup final.
