Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon disagree over 'old-fashioned' ventriloquist act on Britain's Got Talent

Ventriloquist Paul Zerdin's act caused division on the Britain's Got Talent judging panel.

Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon had a difference in opinion on Britain's Got Talent : The Champions after singer Alesha said he was 'old fashioned.'

Paul, who won America's Got Talent and landed his own show on Las Vegas strip, amazed the judges and hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after his cheeky Sam 'transformed' into a human after being bundled into a holdall.

"Dreams can come true. Look Sam, you're a real-live boy," he told him.

"Yes! he's a real boy," cheered Ant and Dec.

"I loved every single moment of that," Alesha told Paul.

"Sam is very cheeky, it's good clean-cut, old fashioned entertainment and a brilliant surprise at the end. Well done."

But Amanda said: "You are a master at this, an utter genius. I don't agree that it's old fashioned. I think your jokes were really on-point.

"You landed every single thing. Your timing is impeccible."

Paul, a British comedian and ventriloquist from London, was the winner of the 10th series of America's Got Talent in 2015.

The show was judges by radio presenter Howard Stern, model Heidi Klum, Spice Girl Mel B and comedian and actor Howie Mandel.
