Amanda Holden admits she's going grey in lockdown and seeks advice on radio show

A lot of women are struggling to keep up their beauty regimes during the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.

And Amanda Holden admitted today that she is one of them - as she is sprouting grey hairs along the front of her hairline and doesn't know how to take care of her new hair colour as the hairdressers are closed.

The 49-year-old made the confession on her Heart FM radio show but at first she seemed too embarrassed to come clean that she was going grey.

As she chatted with co-host Jamie Theakston and celeb hairdresser Michael Douglas, she asked for advice on covering up the silver strands but pretended she was asking for a pal.

Amanda giggled as she said: "I’m asking this question for a friend [laughs], if they have a kind of small patch of grey at the front which is just a little bit annoying…"

Hair dresser Michael probed: "Just a small patch?"

"Just a tiny barely there patch…" responded Amanda.

Catching on that the beauty was talking about herself, Michael told: "I think I know this friend."

Amanda then asked what he would recommend and Michael told her to cover the hairs with a spray available in the supermarket.

Grateful for the advice and still pretending it was for a friend, Amanda added: "I’ll let them know!"

Jamie then piped up, "Or just get a hat Amanda….for your friend" before he burst into laughter.
