Amanda Bynes has revealed the identity of her new fiancé after shocking fans with a picture of her ring.
The 33-year-old announced her engagement on Friday, showing off a huge diamond ring on her left hand before posting a picture of her together with her new beau one day later.
The identity of her hubby-to-be has now been unveiled as Paul Michael.
The Blast reports the pair have been dating for two or three months after meeting at an AA group.
The She's The Man star is understood to still be under a conservatorship headed by her parents so won't be able to get legally married without a judge signing off on it.
A source told the publication that Bynes family is aware of the engagement but the marriage has not been approved of yet.
The website revealed that Paul is in his 20s and from the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. His father is a prominent doctor in LA.
The troubled former actress revealed the news shortly after debuting an usual face tattoo of a wonky heart on her cheek.
In her recent Instagram shot, Amanda showed off a huge white gem on her ring finger alongside the Paul’s hand.
“Engaged to tha love of my life,” she captioned the shot which she shared with her 227,000 Instagram followers on Valentine’s Day.
Amanda shot to fame after starring on Nickelodeon as a child.
She went on to star in several hit films in the early 2000s before falling victim to drug abuse and eventually falling off the Hollywood radar.
Her downward spiral included a drink-driving arrest and a marijuana possession charge in 2013.
She suffered a public meltdown later that year as a result of drug-induced psychosis, and announced her retirement before undergoing a raft of surgery and infamously asking Drake to "murder my vagina" on Twitter .
At the end of last year, the former actress checked out of the sober living facility she had been staying at to return to her parents' home.
US site The Blast claimed Amanda had "bailed" on the facility and "dropped out of school", where she was studying for her bachelors in fashion design.
The former actress, who also admitted that she had suffered from bipolar disorder, is believed to be currently living with her parents in Los Angeles whilst she takes the time to find her own place to live.
According to an E!News source, the actress is not taking drugs anymore but her family remain concerned about Amanda staying sober.
