Aman Anand tops 67th main examination of Bihar Public Service Commission

PATNA: Aman Anand, a resident of Barh in Patna district, topped the 67th Joint Competitive Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) which result was declared on Saturday.

While Nikita Kumari got the second position, Ankita Choudhary secured the third position. All three toppers have been allotted the coveted Bihar Administrative Service (BAS). After the completion of necessary training, they can be posted in the rank of sub divisional magistrate (SDM).

Khalid Hayat and Rishav Anand, who secured fourth and fifth position, respectively, have been allotted the Bihar Police Service (DySP). Priyanshu Kumar, who secured sixth position, has been allotted the post of assistant planning officer.

Among the top eight, four (50 per cent) are female. Apeksha Modi and Sonal Singh secured 7th and 8th position, respectively. Both have been allotted the BAS. Apeksha is a native of Koderma in Jharkhand.

Mukesh Kumar Yadav, (9th position) has also been allotted the BAS. Tarun Kumar Pandey (10th position) has been allotted the Bihar Police Service.

According to a communique issued by the BPSC, a total of 799 candidates were declared successful against the vacancy of 802. Altogether 2,104 candidates had passed the main (written) examination. Of them, 2,090 candidates participated in the interview (viva examination) while the rest 14 remained absent. The results of 15 candidates who participated in the interview (viva examination), were cancelled due to different reasons, the commission said on Saturday.

The final merit list was prepared based on the marks obtained by the remaining 2,075 candidates in their written and viva examinations, the commission said.
