Amal Clooney looks like a Grecian goddess in vintage gown at Buckingham Palace

London was swarming with stylish stars on Tuesday evening as multiple black-tie events took place in the capital.

The sartorial stakes were high as supermodels, royals and designers painted the town red, but it was Amal Clooney who caught the most attention in a Grecian-inspired sweeping white gown with matching cape.

The human rights lawyer was joined by her husband, George Clooney, as the power couple attended dinner at Buckingham Palace hosted by Prince Charles to celebrate The Prince's Trust. Other stars in attendance included Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Josh Hartnett, Tamsin Egerton and Luke Evans.

Amal's ethereal dress was a Jean-Louis Scherrer by Stephane Rolland design from the label's spring/summer 2007 collection. The decade-old piece had been sourced by William Vintage, a high-end vintage shop which has gained much traction recently due to being a favourite with the Duchess of Sussex.

Amal is famously friends with Meghan and recently attended her baby shower in New York, where the pregnant duchess herself was seen sporting a William Vintage piece. Perhaps the high-profile friends have been swapping shopping tips?

Elsewhere, Kate Middleton cut a glamorous figure at the National Portrait Gallery gala, recycling a floral Alexander McQueen gown that she first debuted at the BAFTAs in 2017. The neckline on the striking gown had been modified, with capped sleeves added, to refresh the look

The royal was joined by Kate Moss who stunned in a red slip dress, Victoria Beckham who braved neon pink heels and Alexa Chung who wore a feminine and frilly Erdem number.
