Amad pinpoints what he needs to do to make Manchester United breakthrough

Amad has pinpointed the next two crucial steps he needs to take if he is to make his breakthrough at Manchester United.

The Ivorian winger arrived in Manchester back in January after United agreed to pay £37million for his services on deadline day of the summer transfer window a year ago.

Amad, 18, has impressed during his brief glimpses in the United first-team but has been limited to just eight senior appearances so far for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The teenage right winger will be looking to build upon his solid foundations next season and he has already pinpointed two things he needs to do if he is to start playing regularly.

Amad acknowledges the first step will be taking on board advice from United's coaching department before he will then have to prove his worth with any opportunities which might come his way as a result.

"I need to develop slowly but surely," he told UTD Unscripted.

"I need to listen to my coaches’ advice and, when I get more chances to play in United’s first team, it will be up to me to show my worth and show that they did not make a mistake when they bought me.

"When my chance comes along, I will be ready to take it, but I will take my time. I’m not rushing anything. This is who I am and it’s working well for me so far."
