Amad Diallo wows Man Utd fans ahead of January arrival in brilliant training footage

Manchester United fans are brimming with excitement over the arrival of Atalanta winger Amad Diallo based on fresh training footage of the youngster.

The 18-year-old put pen to paper with United on transfer deadline day and will join the club in January from Atalanta in a deal worth nearly £40million.

United paid the Serie A outfit £19million up front with a further £18.5m in add-ons to come.

Despite not making a single appearance for Atalanta this season there is plenty of clamour surrounding the teenager.

And it's perhaps easy to see why from fresh training footage Diallo shared on his Instagram channel.

In three separate clips Diallo shows exactly why United were so keen to bring him in.

The first shows the winger turning a defender inside-out before neatly finishing past the keeper.

In the second installment Diallo picks the ball up on the halfway line, drives towards the goal and again scores with a corner finish.

And Diallo leaves the best until last - showing off neat footwork to skip his way through three opponents, earning him bold comparisons with Lionel Messi.

Upon seeing the footage one fan posted: "The way he moves genuinely reminds of a young Messi."

Another tweeted: "We found a gem in Diallo. Can't wait to see him in United shirt."

A United fan replied to the video: "January couldn’t come any sooner."

With another simply saying: "Messi who."

And finally another fan tweeted: "Woodward might just have struck gold with this one."

After United sealed the deal it emerged that the club had been tracking the youngster for nearly a year.

Atalanta's president Antonio Percassi revealed: "The negotiation with Manchester United lasted almost a year.

"The details and scenarios are crazy. Meeting after meeting we learned unimaginable things.

"This leads to the growth of the club and enriches the work of everyone, from the general manager, Umberto Marino, to the entire staff."
