Below, MEN Sport have taken a look at their fortunes.

Amad Diallo

After being dropped to the bench for last weekend's 0-0 draw with Burnley due to fitness problems, Diallo came back with a bang, scoring twice in Sunderland's 4-4 draw against Hull City.

The 20-year-old was the star of a dramatic game at the Stadium of Light, adding to his two goals by playing a major part in the other two. Tony Mowbray's side thought they had come from 3-2 down to win it, before an injury-time penalty saw honours even.

Alvaro Fernandez

The left-back decided to drop into the Championship to gain more regular minutes in senior football. And with 34 appearances under his belt, the decision has been vindicated.

Handed a rare rest on Friday, the 20-year-old came off the bench with his side 2-0 up at a dismal Queens Park Rangers side, racking up 10 more minutes and keeping the clean sheet under wraps.

Hannibal Mejbri

Birmingham City have really struggled this season but the performances of on-loan Red Hannibal Mejbri has been a shining light, with a goal and five assists from midfield.

Like Fernandez, the 20-year-old came off the bench in Birmingham's 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Reading.

Charlie McNeill

The young striker netted his second goal for Newport County on Friday evening, securing all three points in a 3-0 win over Northampton Town.

Charlie Savage

Savage picked up his ninth appearance for League One outfit Forest Green Rovers, racking up 82 minutes as his side were beaten at home to Derby County

Di'Shon Bernard

The 22-year-old was handed a first start in almost two months as Portsmouth fought out a 1-1 draw with MK Dons, battling hard at centre-back after his side were reduced to 10men.
