Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey reunion lined up with ex-Rangers loanee a Nice transfer 'target'

Former Rangers loanee Amad Diallo could bet set for a reunion with another former Ibrox team-mate with Nice keen on a loan deal, according to a report.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst landed the Manchester United winger as part of his January recruitment drive earlier this year and he was joined at Ibrox by Aaron Ramsey in a blockbuster loan deal from Juventus.

Neither move materialised as hoped with the pair unable to string together regular first team appearances and make the impact that was hoped on Rangers' bid to retain the Premiership title from the grasps of Celtic. Both players have since departed with Diallo back at Old Trafford and Ramsey now starring in France at Nice. And the Ligue 1 side could be ready to reunite the former Light Blues pair as they eye up a loan swoop for the youngster as an alternative to Arsenal's Nicolas Pepe, according to the Daily Mail.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent a huge £37.2million transfer fee on Diallo from Atalanta but he has been limited to just nine appearances for the Red Devils.

New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag assessed his squad ahead of the new season but the 20-year-old is not in his immediate plans and now has interest from England and Europe as they try their luck on the highly-regarded 20-year-old.

Nice are said to be favourites to land him on loan but English Championship sides Blackpool and Sunderland have both approached the Premier League side to try and lure Diallo to English football's second division.

During his time at Rangers last season he only managed 13 appearances, scoring three goals.
