The brilliant article by Arundhati Roy is a wake-up call to richer nations to come to India’s aid (The long read, 28 April). Kevin McGrath

• Paul Hill asks how he should address Boris Johnson (Letters, 28 April). How about grime minister?
Richard McClean
Stockport, Greater Manchester

Alex Benwell
Westbourne, West Sussex

• Last year the local blackbird (male) went through an I’m a Barbie Girl phase, but appears to have moved on.
