Western Sydney's clash with Canberra United has become the latest A-League Women's game to be postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases.
The Wanderers had hoped their New Year's Day fixture would proceed without a hitch after the club's men side had their game with Western United called off due to a rise in positive cases.
However the game with Canberra, which had been moved from Commbank Stadium to Wanderers Football Park, was postponed on Saturday after players were subjected to a fresh round of tests.
"The Western Sydney Wanderers women's football department confirmed positive COVID-19 cases via either RAT or PCR testing on December 31 and January 1," the A-Leagues said in a statement.
"All players, coaches and staff with positive results are now in isolation and following the NSW Health directives."
The game is the latest on the New Year's Day weekend to be cancelled with Melbourne City's match-up with Newcastle also postponed.
Just one game of six - Wellington's trip to Adelaide - is going ahead as planned in the A-League Men.
The other five games are expected to be re-arranged in the coming weeks.
