Alvin Kamara, Marshon Lattimore make CBS Sports ‘Top 25 NFL under 25’ list

The New Orleans Saints have collected plenty of accolades from Sean Wagner-McGough of CBS Sports, with young superstars Alvin Kamara and Marshon Lattimore each earning selections on his list of the 25 best NFL players under age 25.

Kamara clocked in at the No. 18 spot thanks to his dual-threat skills set as a runner and receiver. Over his first two NFL seasons, Kamara has racked up 3,146 yards from scrimmage and scored 31 touchdowns. Few players can boast that kind of production or the versatility he commands; the only running back ranked ahead of him is the Dallas Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott, who hasn’t had to compete with others for touches in his three-year career.

As for Lattimore, he owns the No. 9 spot, trailing only Jacksonville Jaguars firebrand Jalen Ramsey (No. 8) among other defensive backs. Lattimore’s 2018 season started off rocky, but he quickly rebounded into the top-shelf talent the Saints needed him to be. No player in the NFL has more interceptions (seven), forced fumbles (five) and pass deflections (30) since Lattimore entered the league.

Other players Saints fans may have hoped to see on this list simply aged out. First-team All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas turned 26 in March; second-team All-Pro right tackle Ryan Ramczyk celebrated birthday No. 25 late in April. If all goes according to plan, defensive end Marcus Davenport should break out in a big way and earn recognition on these lists next summer.
