Alvin Kamara asks Mark Ingram for rent money after new contract

New Orleans Saints fans are up in arms after the team let free agent running back Mark Ingram leave to ink a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, but Ingram’s former teammates are looking for the bright side: their close friend just got a big payday.

“Aye I gotta pay my rent,” running back Alvin Kamara wrote to Ingram on Twitter, “and my light bill . . . and I got 6 girlfriends, I needa get (them) situated. Lemme hold (some money) sir. Love you bro congrats. You finna be cold as hell.”

Saints kicker Wil Lutz, who reached a new contract with the Saints, also reached out to Ingram, writing, “Got dat dat dat moneyyyy.” Kamara later responded to Lutz, congratulating his kicker and noting, in all caps, “My boy kick the (expletive) out (of) everything.” Lutz laughed it off.

Defensive back and special teams ace Justin Hardee also publicly lauded Ingram:

It’s good to see that the Saints won’t let distance interrupt their friendship with Ingram, and they aren’t worried about him wearing another team’s colors. The much-discussed locker room culture and chemistry endures.
