Alun Wyn Jones is set to finally make his Barbarians debut at the age of 37.
The BBC reports Jones is in line to be called up by Baa-Baas coach and former England boss Eddie Jones to face Steve Hansen's World XV in May.
The star-studded fixture will be held at Twickenham on May 28 - the day after the United Rugby Championship play-off final. If the Ospreys, who are currently 12th, somehow manage to make the final two of the competition that would rule Jones out.
The veteran has a remarkable playing record of 155 Wales caps, 12 Lions Tests and is hopeful of appearing at a fifth World Cup later this year. But he has never appeared for the famous invitational team despite previously speaking of it being one of his career goals.

Back in 2018, he said: "Take everything I have done and what’s left you want to achieve all of that.
“I’d love to feature for the Barbarians. I’d love to win a Champions Cup and I’d love to get to another World Cup and make a fist of it: get to a World Cup final at least and see what could have been.
“I’m probably being greedy and asking for a bit too much, but it’s served me well over the past few years.”
“I still haven’t played for them [the Barbarians]
“I’ve been fortunate enough to play for the Lions but (the Barbarians) are the ultimate invitation team.
“I don’t know when that opportunity will come. There have been murmurings in the past but obviously it’s a bit difficult now with quota numbers on the number of games you play and being rested for summer tours, particularly this year.
“So it will probably be a hard one to fit in, but it would definitely be an ambition because having seen the great guys who’ve gone through those jerseys, it would definitely be something you’d like to do.”
