Eight people in Altrincham could not believe their luck when they found out they each won £1,000 thanks to their lucky postcode.
The residents of Waveney Drive in Broadheath scored the big win when WA14 4UQ was announced as a Daily Prize winner of the People’s Postcode Lottery today (February 28).
“What a great surprise to start the weekend," said People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt.
"Congratulations to our winners!”
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.

Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have so far managed to raise over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes across Britain with a minimum of 32% of ticket sales being put directly towards charities.
The draw was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts who have received over £11.3 million as a result of People’s Postcode Lottery.
The Wildlife Trusts look after more than 2,300 nature reserves and operate more than 100 visitor and education centres across the country in order to make life better for wildlife, people and future generations.
In addition to the Altrincham winners, five people from Newton-le-Willows were also declared winners when their postcode WA12 9YP was announced as a Street Prize winner.
In August last year, four residents from Worsley won £30,000 each after scoring big with their postcode.
The residents said they were planning to spend their winnings on a new car and payments towards a new house.
