Alton Towers' latest promo has created massive excitement for amusement park enthusiasts. The new attraction is set to arrive at the theme park this Spring to replace Duel.
To mark the upcoming opening of The Curse at Alton Manor - said to be “most immersive dark ride to date” - a lucky few have been sent what has been described as a 'terrifying' surprise in the form of a creepy jack-in-the-box toy.

One lucky recipient named Richard shared a video of the delivery on Twitter, asking his followers if should he be worried by it.
The doll came with a note that warned “the countdown has begun.” Richard said when it arrived he was looking forward to “freaking out” his daughters when they got home from school, but that they've now "christened it Sebastian and taken custody of it.”
In response to the video, Barney said on Twitter: “I'd burn it just to be sure it doesn't turn up on my pillow through the night. That's terrifying.”
Another user complimented the attraction’s “unique marketing” saying, “although we haven’t seen or heard anything in awhile I’m glad to see that Towers are still promoting it in cool, interactive ways.”
Another person who got the doll in the post said: “Mine ended up being thrown down the street to get the thing as far away from me as possible, nearly had a flipping heart attack.”
The recent teasers from the theme park have excited amusement park goers, with many excited to see what the new attraction has to bring.
Sam took to Twitter to say "the new Haunted House at Alton Towers is not going to be tame that’s for sure!" while another commented saying "I think this will be a haunted house the UK can be proud of."
According to Kate McBirnie, head of product excellence at Alton Towers Resort, more details on the ride will be released next month.
