Alton Towers fans snap up £11 theme park entry tickets in flash deal

Alton Towers has brought back one of its most popular money-saving deals, giving access to the park for £11 per person. Full price Alton Towers tickets currently cost £68 for adults paying on the day.

But now the theme park has launched a deal that will save families and thrill-seekers a considerable amount of money ahead of the Summer. Alton Towers' Parent and Toddler pass saves guests around £35, offering an adult and child a whole day of rides for just £29, or £14.50 per person.

For guests wanting to save even more money, there is an option to add on an extra toddler (under five years) for an extra £5, taking the cost down to just over £11 per person. Under threes also go free.

The pass gives families access to the full theme park, which is home to the UK's only CBeebies Land, where new attractions are centred on Hey Dugee, Andy's Adventures and JoJo & Gran Gran. It's an online only offer so you need to book in advance to take advantage, and the deal is only available for visits on selected dates during off-peak periods, and excludes weekends and school holidays.

A separate deal, running until July 20, allows visitors to get a free day at the theme park. It applies when you book an overnight stay priced £62 per person, but also gets you free parking, a buffet breakfast, live evening entertainment and a free round of Extraordinary Golf.

From the UK’s only CBeebies Land Hotel and Caribbean themed Splash Landings Hotel, to enchanting log cabins and the eccentric Alton Towers Hotel, there are six delightfully themed accommodations to choose from, but those wanting to take advantage of the offer will have to be quick, as the online-only deal must be booked before June 14.

Other ways to save money on tickets include paying with Tesco Clubcard points, or investing in a Merlin Pass, which currently costs less than £100 for a whole year. Covering entry to 29 UK destinations, the Merlin Pass offers free or heavily discounted entry for a selected number of visits.

All but the most expensive Platinum Pass have some restrictions on the dates they can be used and each pass is priced per person.

With entry tickets costing for most UK attractions costing between £25 and £38 per person, the Discover Pass would pay for itself if you made three or four visits a year. In contrast, the Platinum Pass requires a little more dedication to the cause and as many as ten visits to cover the initial cost.

Guests can find out more information and details of how to book a Parent and Toddler Pass, or second day free, on the Alton Towers website.
