Alshon Jeffery agrees to restructured contract with the Eagles that guarantees his salary for 2020

The Philadelphia Eagles and Alshon Jeffery have agreed to a restructured contract that will keep the star wideout in town for the next two seasons.

According to Ian Rapoport, Jeffery had his salary for this season turned into a signing bonus, while his salary for next season is guaranteed as well.

The #Eagles and WR Alshon Jeffrey agreed to terms on a contract restructure that takes $11.75M this year and turns most of it into a signing bonus, source said. Most importantly, this means $11.5M next year is now fully guaranteed. Previously he had no guaranteed money for 2020.

Deemed a “win-win” by Eagles brass, the restructuring will guarantee Jeffery’s salary next season while also providing salary cap flexibility for the team.

Last season Jeffery caught 65 passes for 843 yards and six touchdowns after recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.
