Nottingham Forest have reportedly shown an interest in former PSG striker Guillaume Hoarau, ahead of the January transfer window.
The Young Boys forward’s advisor is said to have told Swiss outlet Nau that the Reds are keen on the 35-year-old.
Hoarau played a key part for his club as they won back-to-back titles in the previous two seasons, finishing as top scorer in the top-flight last term with 24 goals.
He has been restricted to 11 appearances so far this time around, due to injury, scoring once in that time.
The former France international’s contract in Switzerland is due to expire next summer, and he has previously spoken about his future beyond that.
Speaking back in July, he was asked by La Liberte what might happen next.
He said, in a translated interview: “So there… This is a question that I do not ask myself.
“I already know that I want to continue, without putting pressure on anyone.

“At some point, we will discuss with the club and we’ll see, but it’s clear that I do not want to stop, I feel good in my head and my body.”
And Hoarau made it clear he still has the same passion for the sport.
Asked what he likes about playing football, he said: “It’s the game itself. I wake up every morning with a smile to get in.
“Between the races, the efforts, the room, there are a lot of feelings that mix during the sessions.
“The fact that the team renews each year keeps me cool, and I really feel that I’m used to something.”
