Alpinestars Has Some Seriously Good Off-Road Motorcycle Gear Coming Real Soon

When it comes to adventure and dual-sport riding, you should borrow the motto of the Boy Scouts, and “Be Prepared.” That means outfitting yourself with riding gear that can handle anything Mother Nature might throw at you on a long or even short off-road adventure. Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, I’m accustomed to packing layers before I leave the house.

I start with a T-shirt, then some kind of mid-layer (usually a hooded sweatshirt), a puffy jacket, a rain shell, hat, and often a set of thermal underwear (long johns) and thick socks for an unexpected cold front. That same theorem can be applied when packing for a motorcycle adventure. But it’s also a lot of stuff to carry in your saddlebags. Solution? Technology!

Alpinestars has been in the riding gear game for a long time now, offering colorful motocross “kits” and the best off-road boots on the market, in my humble opinion. A few years back they introduced an enduro-focused line of products they called “Pro-Dura.” It was no-nonsense stuff meant for long, technical rides in tough terrain, and came in a handful of not-so-busy colorways – black, blue, red and white, mostly. It’s great stuff, and perfect for someone who’s looking to stretch the legs of their plated dirt bike, like the KTM 350 EX-C F or Beta 500RR-S.

But what about bigger rides? Maybe down the Baja Peninsula or completing one of the many Backcountry Discovery Routes?

For spring 2026, Alpinestars is introducing a next-generation adventure touring range designed to perform across varied landscapes and in extreme, unpredictable weather. They’re calling it the “All Terra Collection,” and as you might have guessed, it’s intended for all the terrains.

The new collection includes 15 new styles and 42 colorways, with technical jackets and pants, riding apparel and even footwear.

There’s new mid-height Belize V2 Drystar touring boots, designed to provide enhanced waterproof protection for consistent all-weather performance, as well as new hot-weather glove styles, technical backpacks built for adventure riding, and Buff Nazca Neckwear offering UV protection. The All Terra collection incorporates innovative materials like SuperFabric along with advanced waterproof technologies such as three-layer stretch laminated DrystarXF (XF stands for extra flow), three-layer Gore-Tex membranes, and Gore-Tex Pro 3L Laminated construction.

Additionally, the All Terra kit incorporates ergonomic stretch constructions, the jackets are Tech-Air ready, and the new All Terra pants are developed to enhance rider mobility and long-distance comfort, which is essential for adventure trips and long-distance riding. There’s also Nucleon Plasma Pro and Nucleon Flex Pro Level 2 protective armor incorporated into the gear to ensure effective impact protection.

In short, the All Terra line is high-tech stuff for the serious adventure and dual-sport rider. Alpinestars didn’t cut any corners when designing the next generation of ADV equipment, and even conducted extensive field testing worldwide, taking the new riding gear to the damp and humid climates of Southeast Asia, across the hot and dusty deserts of North America, and up to elevation, in the freezing cold and unpredictable climate of the Andes Mountains.

The gear looks good, too. The jackets and pants are a mix of earth tones and the always popular all-black-everything, along with a splash of Royal Blue for those that want to avoid grey (gray?). There’s more colorful options when it comes to gloves and jerseys, but we all know you can’t pull off Adventure Face if you’re wearing Diva Pink, so you’ll have to settle for Rust or Bright Red. Prices are appropriate for the level of tech you’ll get with the All Terra equipment, with the Andes Pro Drystar XF Jacket setting you back $599.95 and the matching pants coming in at $489.95.

But like the Boy Scouts, it’s important to be prepared, especially before departing on a long adventure motorcycle ride. And with the new All Terra line from Alpinestars, you won’t have to pack as many layers as I might be accustomed to. With a jacket, pant and riding boot setup equipped with the Drystar XF technology - designed to ensure waterproofness while maintaining breathability - you’ll be covered, literally, in all conditions, and in all terrains (cue the rimshot!).
