The streets of London can be a terrifying place, especially past sunset, after all, these were the same streets notorious killers like Jack the Ripper stalked. Sure, that was a long time ago but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some scary individuals out there prowling for unsuspecting victims.
Two men walking through England’s capital found themselves in a rather frightening situation when they stumbled upon a creepy masked figure sitting by themselves. In the video, which was posted to TikTok, the individual can be seen donning a golden skull mask, they are completely silent and completely still, refusing to respond to the men who are simply trying to greet him.
Of course, the two men aren’t afraid, at least not at first, they can be heard laughing as they try to work out if the figure is even real. Getting closer the man filming wonders aloud if he’s asleep, telling his friend “he’s sleeping like a d***head.” This is a big mistake, everyone knows you don’t get close to creepy shadowy figures no matter what. It’s at this point the figure stands up and approaches the two men who immediately retreat.
While the mysterious figure doesn’t seem overtly aggressive, simply walking towards the men rather than running, his off-putting demeanour and strange choice in fashion are enough to terrify anyone. At one point, a bystander who walked past earlier in the video can also be seen running from the figure as he approaches.
The men narrowly escape
The duo are able to outrun the figure and lock themselves behind a tall gate, at which point it appears the masked figure gives up on trying to chase them. At least we can hope that’s the case, as one viewer asked, “YALL HAVENT POSTED SINCE R YALL ALIVE,” another viewer added, “I’m actually scared, this is my worst nightmare.”
“It was all cool till you insulted him lool,” a third viewer wrote, noting how the masked man didn’t respond to the men until the guy recording casually insulted him. “I’m in tears” added a fourth, “the suitcase guy is killed [sic] me.”
The way the guy with the mask walks towards them kind of gives off Jason Voorhees vibes, although he didn’t appear to have a weapon. Could these guys have unknowingly stumbled into a serial killer’s hunting grounds? Or was this guy just pulling their leg? It seems more likely it was just a bored individual wanting to mess around with random people passing by, but when it’s so late at night and you’re being pursued by a masked figure such as that, you’re not exactly going to stick around and find out.
