- The decision reflects a continuing shift towards digital banking services, with the group noting that over 21 million customers now use their apps.
- In response to the closures, cash access network Link has recommended the establishment of 11 new banking hubs.
- The group will close 26 Lloyds, 10 Halifax, and 13 Bank of Scotland sites, leaving it with 705 branches in total.
