Almac Pharma Services planning to take on 30 Loughborough recruits this year

A pharmaceutical company says it will need to find 30 new staff members this year to take on analytical roles at its central England base.

Almac Pharma Services needs to take on the new recruits at its operation on the Charnwood Campus in Loughborough. Management said half of the jobs were live right now, and the rest would follow in the coming months.

The business provides pharmaceutical development, manufacturing and commercial services for global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, helping with tailored drug support in specialisms such as oncology, infectious disease and respiratory disease.

As part of the recruitment, Almac is hosting two open day sessions on Wednesday, May 24, where candidates can tour the Charnwood facilities and find out more about the company, the roles and career opportunities within the business.

Analytical staff will be on hand to talk about their experiences and there will be one-to-one sessions with Almac’s hiring teams to discuss CVs and the possibility of potential fast-tracking to interviews. Registration to attend is open on the Almac Group website.

Trevor Clarke, vice president of analytical operations at Almac Pharma Services said: “Almac is experiencing significant growth and filling these roles will bolster our ability to continue to support our many clients across the globe.

“We are looking for talented analytical staff at all levels who can apply their current skills, expertise and ideas. You will play an essential role in helping us to achieve our goal of advancing human health, meaning you will make a real difference to patients in need.

“A career at Almac provides you with an excellent opportunity to join an established, global company where we are committed to your career success.

“If you are looking for a new challenge in a growing, progressive company, we want to hear from you!”

Almac acquired its Charnwood facility in 2015, and has grown from a core staff of 70 to more than 250.
