Interim Melbourne City boss Rado Vidosic is hoping his side can get back to winning ways and continue their charge towards the A-League Men title when they take on Adelaide.
City have suffered back-to-back draws against Western Sydney and Brisbane but still hold a five-point buffer at the top of the ladder.
Vidosic's side failed to score against the Roar last weekend, marking the first time since May last year they had not found the back of the net in a regular-season game.
The Croatian-born coach remains confident being held to nil was not a sign of a dip in form, warning his side had placed an extra focus on their finishing ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Reds.
"The only thing that was missing was the goal," he said.
"That's something that we spoke about and something that we've been working on this weekend.
"That was one of the very rare games where we didn't score a goal. It was just one of those days when things did not fall into the right place on the night."
Vidosic was hopeful of having Jordan Bos available after the left back sustained a concussion in the draw with the Wanderers a fortnight ago.
"He has recovered really well," the City manager said.
"He did some extra work on the first day back and we will make up our mind on who's going to start and (if) we'll be making any changes or not."
Vidosic reiterated his belief his squad would not have their best players picked off before the run towards the end of the regular season.
Young winger Marco Tilio has been a standout for City this year and seems destined to take the step into European football in the not-too-distant future.
"We are not planning to lose anyone," Vidosic said.
"Unless, as I've said, a big offer comes in for someone, then the club needs to look at that."
