The Ally Pally wasp returned for the final as Luke Littler was attacked as the famous gatecrashers of the World Darts Championship threatened to upstage the world no1.
Littler had recovered from losing the first set in Saturday evening's final, to take a 3-1 lead over Gian van Veen at Alexandra Palace.
The world no1 was in full flow, averaging a score of 107 as his Dutch rival struggled to keep up.
But Littler's flow was briefly hampered midway through the fifth set as a wasp returned to the oche during one of the teenager's visits.
