Rangers legend Ally McCoist is made up for midfield star Glen Kamara after he secured a new deal at Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard has tied down Kamara, 25, until the summer of 2025 with the club revealing the news hours before his side swept aside Livingston to reach the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals.
Fans fretted over whether the former Dundee man was headed for the exit in the final weeks of the transfer window with his deal set to expire in 2023.
But Kamara killed off the speculation and showed he's in Glasgow for the long haul by following the likes of James Tavernier, Leon Balogun, Allan McGregor and Steven Davis in inking a new contract.
That delights Rangers' record goalscorer who insists it's richly deserved and when asked on Premier Sports if the Finland star was worth his new deal, McCoist replied: "100 per cent. What a signing that lad has been, I have to say.
"Rumour has it Rangers signed him for £50,000 from Dundee. Absolutely amazing.
"Even when he was up at Dundee you can see he has been well schooled.
"You can see he has had a good upbringing and education about football with Arsenal.

"He has been well brought up, well coached and he deserves everything that has been coming his way.
"He is an international and he is a great re-signing for Rangers."
