Ally McCoist's reaction to Alisson blunder says it all as Liverpool implode at Leicester

Ally McCoist couldn't believe his eyes as he watched Alisson's howler gift Leicester their crucial second goal at the King Power.

Liverpool conceded three goals in seven second-half minutes as they lost 3-1.

James Maddison equalised with 12 minutes left before Jamie Vardy scored three minutes later.

A mix-up between Alisson and new signing Ozan Kabak allowed the Foxes striker to walk the ball into an empty net.

The Brazilian came running out of his area in an attempt to clear a hopeful diagonal, but got things badly wrong.

McCoist was reporting on the game for Soccer Saturday and was left questioning the actions of the Liverpool No 1.

"Jamie Vardy is playing guitar on the corner flag. Honestly, I can't believe my eyes," he said.

"It is a simple diagonal ball over the top, Alisson comes for it. It is a complete shambles with Kabak the new centre-back.

"The ball breaks for Vardy, he hasn't scored in seven games, its his Christmas, its his Birthday, its everything rolled into one.

"It is just a long diagonal ball, I don't know why Alisson is coming for it, I genuinely don't. I feel sorry for the new signing.

"It is the ball you'd played to Vardy all day. I don't know what Alisson is doing, I can't believe it.

"What is he thinking about the goalkeeper? It gets worse every time I see it."

The defeat was Liverpool's third on the bounce - the first time they've endured such a run since 2014.

Alisson was guilty for giving away two of his side's four goals in their heavy reverse against Manchester City last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp put the goal down to a "misunderstanding" but admits he didn't hear any communication from his goalkeeper.

He said: "The second goal is a misunderstanding obviously. It is a situation where we should shout and I didn't hear anyone shout. It is not that cool."
