Ally McCoist's hilarious reaction to Celtic job links as bookies list Rangers hero as potential Neil Lennon replacement

Rangers legend Ally McCoist was left in fits of laughter after discovering he was 80/1 to replace Neil Lennon as Celtic manager.

The Ibrox hero was told on talkSPORT that he was included in a list of potential replacements for the Hoops boss and he couldn't stop himself laughing throughout.

Fellow host Laura Woods and the show's producer were both in disbelief as the odds were read out and former Rangers manager McCoist told them he'd definitely remain committed to the Breakfast Show on talkSPORT.

And McCoist joked that the odds should be much higher and even suggested he wouldn't rule himself out of taking over in the east end of Glasgow if the job came up.

When told about it, he said: "I think Stevo, John Hill and Simon (talkSPORT's betting pundits) will give us 580/1."

And then when asked about whether he could have his say, he started laughing and said: "No. Nope.

"I can't comment just now, I'm ruling myself out of nothing at this moment in time."

Woods teased: "He's saying he'd leave us."

But after that, McCoist composed himself to confirm he definitely would not be replacing Lennon at Celtic Park in the near future.

He added: "No, I'm remaining very honourable to talkSPORT."
