Ally McCoist's fear for Leeds United as he spells out what they 'cannot' afford to do

Former Scotland international and talkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist has admitted he's 'really worried' about Leeds United's chances of staying in the Premier League.

Patrick Bamford's 32nd-minute goal was the only consolation for Whites fans on Sunday afternoon as they capped off an awful month of April with a 4-1 loss to Bournemouth.

The result now leaves them 16th, just one point above Nottingham Forest and Leicester, who are tied on points, with the Foxes still having to play against fellow relegation rivals Everton tonight.

In their last seven matches, Leeds have seen a haul of just four points from a possible 21, with fans calling for changes in almost every area of the club amid their anger at the prospect of relegation.

That, coupled with arguably the trickiest end-of-season run-in out of any of the teams in the bottom five with clashes against Newcastle United, Tottenham and reigning champions Manchester City means that it appears the Whites must make an improbable last stand.

TalkSPORT host McCoist is one doubter, claiming that their draw against Leicester last week could've been their big chance to score some much-needed points.

"I’m not sure," McCoist claimed on talkSPORT earlier this morning. "I saw them and it ended up not a bad point (in) the Leicester game, that was massive, absolutely massive.

"I really am worried about them, you cannot lose the amount of goals Leeds United are losing and expect to stay in the division."
