Ally McCoist reveals his Rangers IPad agony as he scorns Alan Brazil for rubbing in Ibrox nightmare

Gutted Ally McCoist admits he went from jubilation to despair in a London hotel room as he followed his beloved Rangers exiting the Scottish Cup.

The 58-year-old wasn't in attendance but he was kicking every ball as he watched another one of his former sides St Johnstone leave Steven Gerrard reeling.

The Ibrox icon is media royalty and was working at the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley as Manchester City defeated Tottenham to make it four consecutive victories in that competition.

But Rangers are never far from his mind as he raced back to his room to check in on the team he adores and admits he experienced a roller coaster of emotions in the final minutes and during penalties.

And he admits colleague and Celtic fan Alan Brazil was on hand to pile on the misery.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "I'm telling you right now, I couldn't believe my eyes, I couldn't believe my eyes.

"I just got back in the hotel after the Final at Wembley, I stuck it on just as Rangers scored on 118 minutes.

"I thought 'oh, ya beauty, that will do lovely', I went to to the toilet and heard a commotion from my IPad and I came back and they had equalised.

"Sometimes it's just written.

"And' obviously as you can imagine, the pea has not finished rolling about in the referee's whistle and big Brazil is sending me all sort of messages.

"He couldn't get enough of it."
